Quinta do Sanguinhal is one of our favourite vineyards for both it’s beautiful setting and for the knowledge and hospitality of the family who still run the vineyard today.
On this day trip you can learn about Portuguese wines and enjoy sampling some, all in the beautiful setting of the Quinta do Sanguinhal vineyards and gardens.
Quinta do Sanguinhal is a family owned quinta and is renowned in Portugal for the quality of its wines two of which, Cerejeiras and Quinta de San Francisco, feature on most restaurant menus. The beautiful quinta also produces its own ‘Aguardente’, the spirit produced from the grape skins, similar to brandy.
A wonderful opportunity to visit and authentic Portuguese vineyard and to enjoy fantastic wines!
- Visit the old distillery, ageing cellar and the ancient pressing room with a stone and wood manual wine press.
- Learn about Portuguese wines and enjoy a tasting session sampling at least 7 wines: white, red, rose and a fortified wine, along with regional cheeses and crackers.
