We never get tired of visiting the Lisbon Oceanarium. Right on the waterfront with spectacular views across the river Tejo to Lisbon's Vasco da Gama bridge, a visit to the Oceanarium is a spectacular and absorbing event, loved by people and children of all ages. We took our grand-daughter there last summer (she was 9 months old at the time) and she was an enraptured by incredible walls of fish, sharks, rays and turtles that inhabit the Oceanarium as we were!

The Oceanarium is in the 'Park of Nations' or 'Parque das Nacoes', which also houses various art and cultural activities as well as the Vasco da Gama shopping centre. For those feeling brave there are also the cable cars which travel along the waters edge- not one for sufferes of vertigo!

The Oceanarium is a great day trip from Praia del Rey. Ask us if you would like more information about getting there. You can also find out more about the Park of Nations here.
