Silver Coast Restaurants
This is our selection of nearby restaurants. As a general rule, restaurants open at 7 pm for dinner.
Many close on Sunday evenings and all day on Monday, because the fisherman don’t fish on Sundays.
The Caldas, Obidos and Peniche guides in all our properties have more restaurants.

Cozinha d’el Rei, Serra d’el ReiOpen every day for lunch & dinner except Sunday evening & MondaysTel : (00351) 262 909 392 and 969 510 818 Owned and run by Jorge and Paula (pictured alongside), this very popular restaurant is located in the village of Serra d’el Rei (8 minutes drive from Praia d’el Rey). J & P are very friendly and welcoming and love children, there is a children’s corner with toys and low tables & chairs. They serve home baked pizza, traditional Portuguese food and pasta and salads. At lunch we recommend you try the prato do dia (dish of the day). During the summer months it’s best to book or you could have a long wait. |

Tribeca, Serra d’el ReiOpen every day except Monday and Tuesday lunchtimesTel : (00351) 262 909 46 Tribeca opened in 2010 and is a much needed alternative to Cozinha D’el Rey, which is always very busy. The back of this restaurant faces the Holiday Rental Portugal office on the main street in Serra and the entrance is around the corner & on the hill going down to PDR. Our first experience was not one to shout about, but we have heard good reports since. Do give it a try and let us know what you think. |

O Covao dos Musaranhos, Obidos LagoonOpen daily and closing at 7 pm (unless there are customers) The best thing about this cafe/restaurant is the location and the view. Don’t expect culinary wonders here! They specialize in enguias (eels) and serve toasted sandwiches, salads, burgers, omlettes and ice creams. Leave PDR by the Vila da Praia exit, turning right to the ‘lagoa’ as signed. Continue on this bendy road for about 5 minutes, passing the ginormous Royal Obidos development on the left.. Turn right at the end, signed towards Bom Sucesso, drive for another 5 minutes and this restaurant is on the left, just past the Perola da Lagoa tiled sign.. There is a lovely walk by the lagoon from here to the ocean. The walk will take about one and a half hours. |

Mãe d’Água, Nr. BombarralTel : (00351) 262 605 408Going south is an excellent restaurant called Mãe d’Água. At the T-juntion in A-da Gorda where you turn left for Obidos, turn right. Follow this road for about 7km. The road runs parallel with the A8 which you’ll see on your left. Eventually you’ll arrive at a very picturesque roundabout with a wine press in the centre. Turn left and drive up the hill. Descend down the other side, round some bends and at the foot of the hill as the road starts to climb a bit there is a big sign pointing to the restaurant.
