The Silver Coast
The Silver Coast of Portugal is like the Algarve as it used to be. There are wonderful empty golden sand beaches where you won't be lined up like sardines; villages full of charm and character; friendly and helpful people; excellent wines and cheaper prices than the rest of Europe. Lisbon, a great capital city with much to discover, is an easy 45 minute drive.
